- What is your Sunday Morning like?
We will admit, "We are not your grandma's church." While many other churches may offer traditional worship services and programs, we choose to be different. Not better, just different. The typical Sunday experience includes exciting and inspirational worship music, videos and media, and a 25-30 minute message. The whole service runs roughly 1 hour and 15 minutes. Back to top
- What do I have to wear to church?
We are very casual in our dress and promote a, "Come as you are" environment. Jeans and a shirt? Cool. Shorts and a shirt? Cool. God only cares about what's on the inside and so do we! Back to top
- What is your worship music like?
We use a Keyboard driven live band (contemporary style like Lincoln Brewster, Chris Tomlin, and David Crowder or Hillsong. You might even hear a song or two from the radio. Plus, we project the song lyrics on a screen so all can participate. Back to top
- Do I have to bring my Bible?
We encourage you to bring a Bible and pen to dig into the teachings with us. But if you don't have one, come anyway and we'll give you one for free. We display the verses of the message on a big screen so you can follow along. We most often use the New American Standard version (NAS), but whatever you use will be fine. Back to top
- Where do the kids go?
We care about your children. Upon arrival, you will be directed by a volunteer to our Kid's Check-In to get some basic information should you need to be contacted during the service or during the week. Each class is staffed by at least 2 adults at all time to ensure the safest environment for all to enjoy learning about God's love.
We have a kid's ministry (called Bridge Kidz) that includes music, activities, small groups, and an age appropriate lesson from the Bible each week. We use a Bible based curriculum for our children (ages infant-5th) on Sunday mornings that has been changing the lives of children for years.
Our youth (grades 6-12) meet for a time of Bible Study after the band finishes their portion of the service. Our youth also meet on Wednesday nights as well. Back to top
- What kind of church are you?
Technically, we are affiliated with the Southern Baptist of Texas Convention which is affiliated with the national convention of Southern Baptists. We are a Christ-centered church. We teach Christianity based solely on the Bible. Back to top
- Do you ever take communion?
Yes. We offer communion the first Sunday of every month at our worship experience. We practice an open table and we respectfully ask that communion be received by Believers/Followers of Christ. Back to top
- What do you believe about giving?
We believe that God blesses faithful giving. God's principle of the tithe and offering allow the church to operate and fulfill the work of sharing God's love with others. Giving is one of the many ways we partner in the mission of the Church. Back to top
- Will I be asked to give money?
As a guest, you will not be expected to participate in the brief giving portion of the service. However, if you call The Bridge your home church, then we ask that you be faithful to God in this area as we partner together to accomplish God's work and will in our community. Back to top
- Will I be singled out if I am new?
No. We will not single you out, point fingers at you, make you stand up. We want you to be at home and comfortable. When you arrive, stop by the Welcome Table to pick up a name tag, (everyone wears one) we do this to make everyone feel welcome. Continue on into the sitting area for some donuts & coffee and start meeting some new friends. Back to top
